About Decoflora
Located in the lush FNQ tropics and surounded by World Heritage Rainforest in Kuranda, Queensland, Australia, Decoflora plant nursery was established in 2020 by passionate plant enthusiasts driven by their love for tropical flora. With a diverse interest in edibles, medicinals, natives, architectural and landscaping plants, we are dedicated to producing exciting and unique varieties of Philodendron and Anthurium for the Australian Indoor Plant Industry, as well as for enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.
At Decoflora, we are deeply committed to environmentally sustainable practices, which we integrate into every aspect of our business. Our potting media is made from locally composted green waste, and we source perlite for extra drainage from a local mill that mines in our local area. To minimize waste, we repurpose plastic wrapping and packaging materials from local businesses, which would otherwise end up in landfill.
Our nursery is nestled in an area brimming with wildlife, and we work closely with nature to maintain a healthy environment for our plants. We do not use any pesticides or fungicides, and all our fertilizers are certified organic with no chemical additives. Furthermore, we have implemented measures to catch and reuse any runoff fertilizers, contributing to the well-being of the environment that sustains us.
We are dedicated to providing our customers with high-quality, sustainable plants and are constantly seeking new ways to enhance our practices and reduce our environmental impact. Join us on our journey, as we strive to learn, share, and grow together.
